Crystal Line
The crystal chandeliers in this broad range have a beautiful neutrality which makes them suitable for any interior. These chandeliers are made of crystal combined with glossy brass, with hand or machine cut crystalline parts of various shapes and sizes. The cutting techniques used for chandeliers' hanging parts developed in North Bohemia at the turn of 17th and 18th century, where work was originally done on a hand cutter, driven by pedals, and later by water wheel. At the end of the 19th century the first electric cutters appeared. At the beginning of the 20th century the Czech firm Preciosa became the first chandelier producer in the world to cut and polish the octagonal chandelier parts (known as the "head") fully automatically, heralding a new era in chandelier production. Chandelier "heads" undergo rigorous procedures, including over 9 working, cutting and glossing steps. The light of a crystal chandelier, refracted by the hanging parts, spreads into a whole spectrum of color, creating a beautiful prism effect. These crystal chandeliers enliven your interior with a dazzling array of magical colours and effects to delight the imagination.
